Every winter, after traveling thousands of kilometers from the northern Pacific, gray whales reach the lagoons and bays of Baja California’s western coast to breed and give birth.
Watching them in these shallow waters is very different from whale watching offshore. We take time to follow their movements and observe their behavior. Sometimes we witness the encounters for which Baja California’s gray whales have become famous: certain individuals choose to approach the boats.
