Across from La Paz, the Espíritu Santo archipelago offers some of the Sea of Cortez’s most iconic scenery. Erosion-sculpted cliffs, turquoise water, remote beaches and rocky islets form a landscape where the peninsula’s geological history is still visible.
As we navigate, we discover the archipelago’s biodiversity: seabird colonies, frigatebirds, pelicans and, when the season and conditions permit, snorkeling near sea lions. The natural formations, different bays and stories of the archipelago also form part of the journey.
Your guide explains how the islands formed, helps you observe wildlife behavior and introduces the measures taken to protect this exceptional ecosystem.
We stop at a beach to enjoy the landscape over a ceviche lunch before continuing by boat. More than a trip to a beautiful island, this is a chance to understand why Espíritu Santo is so precious and why its protection matters.
